mosquitoguy's Full Review: Grado SR-125 Professional Headphones
There are no adjectives that can accurately describe the sound that this headphone produces. The sound is rich, balanced, and soft-- you feel like you can listen to it for hours without your ears getting tired.
The detail is outstanding. You can turn the volume barely halfway and you can hear all of the acoustics. Everything seems perfectly balanced. The bass is very smooth and punchy, but at the same time don't overwhelm any of the mids or highs.
Some people complain about how uncomfortable Grados are. This isn't a problem for me. The headphone looks very antique-looking--- like something that NASA guys would wear when they're listening for alien life, back in the 1950s.
The cable for this headphone is really thick and strong. It's one reason why I chose this over Sennheiser HD580/600 (their cables are detachable and thin, and many complaints of them breaking). Another reason is that this headphone is 32 ohms, so you don't need a headphone amp to drive it.
