Cons: Cable is a tad long for my portable - this is a minor consideration.

My jaw hit the floor when I first slipped these over my ears. After I struggled with the thin sound of my Sony 888's for weeks, it felt like I was eating chocolate cake the moment the rich sound flowed into my head.
Now, keep in mind that you will not win any fashion contests while wearing these cans, but little do others understand the trade-off that is happening.
The dynamics of these cans are so good, I often find myself looking to the side, wondering where this or that sound was coming from - only to realize time and again how well the separation and stage works in harmony here.
Although I never thought I'd ever spend more than $20 on a set of portables, I have realized that you do indeed get what you pay for. Just be sure to shop around to get the best price.
Also, since they are supraural, you can still hear what's going on around you - and those around you can sometimes hear what you're listening to you also. So, if you're just coming in from football practice, you might wanna consider your current social standing before cranking up your favorite Village People CD.
I have to admit that the Etymotic ER4P's have caught my eye and I'm fascinated by the thought of shutting out everything but the music from the listening experience. They should arrive in the next day or two followed by additional babbling from me.
