ronaldyang's Full Review: Koss R-10 Consumer Headphones
I bought these headphones about three or four years ago and I'm still using them. I had to repair the hard plastic arm with scotch tape since the adjusting arm snapped about two years ago. The hard, inflexible plastic is its greatest drawback. It doesn't rest on top of your head. Instead, it rests by maintaining a constant pressure on your ears. This is pretty fatiguing and as a result, I can't use these headphones for too long (40 minutes at a stretch I guess). I still haven't bought new ones because I'm a cheapskate, so I keep rationalizing that the sound is good enough for me. Also, the closed earpiece design cuts out almost all outside noise, so when I use them (exclusively at work) it's hard to get distracted. If sound *is* important to you, then you are looking at the wrong set of headphones because the bass is pretty poor and the high end is raspy.
