Three pairs later and they're still a good investment for my ears and budget.

Pros: Good sound quality, long cord, sturdy.
Cons: Everybody else wants my pair!
The Bottom Line: My pairs have survived a teenager, a preschooler and countless gaming sessions -- not bad for a pair of sub-$20 headphones.

| oddharmonic's Full Review: Koss TD-61 Headphones |
I bought my first pair of Koss TD-61 headphones three years ago because I needed a pair of headphones to use at my computer and to listen to music in my home. They fit my needs so well, I've bought two pairs since then.
I am not a serious audiophile, so I don't have anything to nitpick about the sound quality or distortion. They do a reasonable job of keeping ambient noise out and from disturbing others with what I'm listening to, even when I have the volume fairly high for transcribing audio weblog posts.
I bought my first pair because they were the best mix of price and expected comfort in the selection at my local Wal-Mart. Shortly afterward, my brother offered to give me a pair of more expensive Sony headphones in trade because he liked the cord length (8') and felt the sound quality was comparable to his headphones. I gave him mine and bought a second pair.
I have the same minor complaint other reviewers have with the TD-61 headphones not holding a fit adjustment between uses and found my second pair actually stopped fitting my relatively small head after sharing them for a year with my husband, who used them while playing computer games.
My third pair has lasted for over a year while being shared with a preschooler. I would say they're quite sturdy since she's stepped on them, thrown them, and pulled them out of the headphone jack on my speaker while still wearing the headphones.
