WrestlerBoy130's Full Review: Koss TD-80 Consumer Headphones
I was at Circuit City one day with a $50 gift card, wondering what I could buy. I had recently gotten a new portable cd player that was top of the line but that had substandard headphones. What's the use of buying a great cd player if the sound is going to be ruined by cheap headphones? Well, that's exactly what I was thinking so I therefore checked out the headphones section. I saw some really nice Sony headphones, but they were over $100. When I checked out the specs on both brands of headphones, Koss and Sony, and compared prices and quality, I realized that Koss had a very high quality set of "stereophones" for a fairly reasonable price, $50. I immediately bought the "stereophones" with my gift card and I was on my way.
I had never bought special headphones before and I didn't expect much out of them. I was really surprised to find out that the Koss TD-80 stereophone had amazing sound quality. A person might wonder why they are called stereophones. Once you hear the sound that these headphones can produce, you too will understand that it actually sounds like a stereo system. Some good features are that it has a cord that can conveniently be about 1 foot long but stretches to 8 feet when you need to be further away. The left and right earphones have separate volume controls which is also a good convenient feature. The earphones are also very comfortable with cushy earpads. They also have pretty good bass. If you want to have personal listening enjoyment with superior sound and low cost, go out and buy a pair of Koss TD-80 stereophones. Oh, and over the 2 years I've had my TD-80's I've accidently broken them 3 times. Koss has an amazing warranty program because they are so confident in their stereophones' quality. They sent me a new pair no questions asked promptly.
