donradeon's Full Review: Sony MDR-V700DJ Professional Headphones
I stress the words Dj because if you attempt to a.) produce music or b.) enjoy music for hours on end, these phones will not be satisfactory. They excel for Dj use because they have increased emphasis on bass, which is what Dj's need to match beat tempo, etc. Yet, if you attempt to produce music it will come out muddy and sound off or distorted through regular speakers. Also, they are quite heavy so your ears will get numb after a few hours of listening to music.
Yet, these are awesome headphones for simply enjoying music.. very loudly I might add.
The ear cups swivel all around, though it's fairly pointless.. it sure looks cool.
I still recommend these headphones, despite all the cons. They are awesome and they don't wear out, despite what the other people may have said, mine have lasted almost a year now with no cracks or anything.
The over-ear design, I might add, helps when you listen at night or in public when you may not want other people hearing your music.
