| mbutrovich's Full Review: Technics SL-MC70 60-Disc CD Changer |
I've been a Technics owner since 1984 and have never been disappointed. So when it was time to finally buy a new CD player, I was instantly attracted to this product.
I love how easy it is to load the discs (front-loading). Once the discs are loaded, there is the matter of categorizing the discs. It is a tedious job, but worth it. You can group your CDs into 5 groups (country, rock, classical, etc) and have it play only one group at a time. You can enter text into the system for each CD which labels the disc with the album title and artist name. Some of the newer CDs already have that in the disc's data, saving you the work. Later, you can search through the digital library and simply look for your favorite artist's name (no need to remember slot number).
Another nice thing is the player comes with a book that stores the CD jackets/booklets that go with the discs you loaded.
My only complaint is the categorizing of discs into the 5 groups relies solely on the remote control. The instructions are well written, and since this is a complex system, you can expect complex methods to program and categorize your discs. But with complexity comes power.
I've only recently bought the player, so I cannot testify to its reliability yet, but I look forward to playing with it.
