You absolutely cannot go wrong with Onkyo. After 10 years I finally just got rid of my old Onkyo 5 disc player and will be buying this one soon.

Why the dedication to Onkyo?

This is very simple most CD player you will find today are band driven. Onkyo CD players on the other hand are gear driven. What does this mean for you?

Your CD player will last longer!!!

As I said before, I had mine for ten years, and they were the hardest years that a CD player can have. As I have lived the last 8 years in dorms the CD player was transported across the country twice a year to be set up again in yet another teenaged lair of filth. If a CD player can take 10 years of that, I'm sold. That's why I'm getting another one. Enjoy yours. I'll enjoy mine.
