Pros: affordable for most, good sound quality.
Cons: for that cost it shouldn't break down so much.

| amaddalone's Full Review: Philips CDC735 5-Disc CD Changer |
I purchased this CD player a couple years ago. Barely paid anything for it. However, was assured this would be satisfactory for my needs. WRONG! The disks slide out of the "carriage" all the time. I can barely read any CD. Changes EVER so slow, and is not even close to my needs. It falls way below the standards of inexpensive. I may not have paid much for this, but at the time I wasn't buying the cheapest on in the store. Granted it does put out great sound. I have no problems with the quality of sound when the disk can be read. I get the "EE" = error indicator all the time. But when it works, I really enjoy it. There aren't many options with this CD changer.
I highly recommend spending a few extra dollars and buying more expensive version. Or if no other Phillips is available purchase another brand. This one will be more of a pain than a pleasure to most. If you have high patience and don't mind the typical have to turn off and turn on again to get it to work, hope the CD plays instead of "EE", and hope when it rotates that the CD will stay in the carriage.
