| gryphonsclaw's Full Review: Yamaha CDC-505 5-Disc CD Changer |
A CD player is just a CD player, well if you are like me this is not true. I have so many scratched discs that I rely on a CD player with a strong laser. I knew that I wanted a Yahmaha and it has not disappointed me. The Yahmaha plays CDs clearly that the Sony, Panasonic, and Kenwood do not. There was no difficulty in operating this device, the user manual is very helpful, and the absence of bells and whistles make for simplistic use.
Functions
5 Disc CD Changer
Play Exchange (allows disc to be change while CD player plays another disc
Random Access
Disc or track repeat
Adjustable display brightness
Snychronized recording with another Yahmaha tape deck
Disc scanning
Pros
Fiber Optic output allows for clean sound, no scratches, no interference, just pure music.
Great quality for an affordable price, I paid $150, no sense going broke on a CD Player, but have some quality.
Plays just about any beat up CD, dual lasers are upto the task.
Built solidly but yet light weight.
Universal remotes recognize the player.
Cons
Older model lacking in some features such as headphones or timer play, great to pick up on an auction for $75 though
In conclusion if you are looking to add an inexpensive piece to your home entertainment center and want a quality machine I would recommend buying this. Pick it up on an auction and you won't be sorry.
