I bought this product to brighten up my daily commute. It's a great portable unit and the AM/FM radio was the clincher. Not sure why most CD players don't include this, but I'm glad to have it --- you can always use radio when batteries are too low for CD use. It's also nice to hook up to a good set of speakers at home. Also --- AC Adapter allows for recharging of NiCad batteries --- a nice feature. A few problems --- it seems to shut off automatically when I use it at home --- on FM anyway --- still checking on this. The Swoops headphones, although remarkably light and pretty good sounding are extremely uncomfortable for long use --- I couldn't ever seem to be comfortable with them and get them in my ears....FM reception is not that great --- headphones act as antenna, but even with a REAL LONG cord on my new headphones...not all that good reception. Still, all in all...this is a great little unit and I recommend it highly.
