| techguy137's Full Review: Panasonic SL-S202 Personal CD Player |
I bought one of these 3 years ago in Korea. It came with the 220V/115V power adapter and that's probably the best part of the CD player since I live in Europe now.
Initially, I got it for a month's use and then I was going to return it since it seemed a little pricey at the time ($90) for a generic CD player. A month later, I lost the receipt and I've had it for 3 years now.
Like several of the other epinionators, I have to tell you that it skips like crazy--even when it was new. So this is not one to take running, in fact I tried several times to run with it and I got so frustrated with it that I almost just smashed it into the pavement just to get even.
But, in it's defense, I was in the gym a few weeks ago and I had it strapped to the exercise machine next to me (because if I have it attached to me in anyway, or my machine, it will skip and I can't hear a thing for more than 20 seconds) It came loose, fell down some stairs and to the 1st floor and the lid broke off. I was amused actually since I was about ready to give it to charity since it's a habitual skipper---but to amuse myself I re-attached the lid and it worked!
Now I use it on my nightstand and it works well as long as you don't jar it. I'd say you could probably find something better for your money over all though, so keep shopping.
