Technology, gotta love it :) Gone are the times of trying to listen to a cd on the go and it skipping everytime you breathe!! I highly recommend this to any jogger or person who loves to rollerblade! With it's forty second anti-shock II skip protection, it's just that. I have literally dropped the cd player from the seat in the car and it didn't miss a beat. I hear it really drains the battery when you have this option "on" but I always get a long duration for my batteries, and I only listen to my cd in this mode because I'm always on the go with it.
Another added bonus that made me buy it was the cd jogger fanny pack that it came with. The pouch fits firmly around your waist and fits the cd player great, it secures well so it doesn't fall out. There is also a slim case that fits inside with the cd player, it can fit a few extra cd's, and a small zippered pocket on the side to fit money or a key. Great ideas.
There are many options to this particular cd player. Quite advanced for such a little thing and very user friendly with it's digital display on the top.The display tells you which track you are on, the length of time for that track but it also tells you "no disc" " "open" if the top is open and "sorry" if it's having trouble, LOL. It even tells you when your batteries get low. You can program your desired tracks into your recall/memory button. You also have three playing options: normal, resume and hold. Obviously, normal is normal play. But with resume you can pick up where you left off on a particular track if the cd player is turned off, great option when using it in the car and you're in and out alot! The random option skips around the cd, not playing them in order. Last but not least is the bass booster button, I usually leave this option off.
For all these reasons I love this player! But there is one downfall to it, the headphones. They just aren't top of the line as the machine is, they *just* work. See my upcoming Epinion on the great headphones I found to go with it :) I just went out and bought the same exact setup for my husband, he wanted one for rollerblading also after he saw how much I enjoyed mine!
I also bought the car adapter kit so I can listen while I drive.
