| LemonDork's Full Review: Panasonic SL-S360 Personal CD Player |
Rewritten on August 17th I purchased this CD player in hopes of getting an alternate to my current, so I wouldn't have to toggle between a stationary portable and a portable portable. Anywho, I read several epinions on this product (What a useful resource!) and then headed on down to eBay, my second home, to get one for cheaper. When it arrived for half the price a week or so later, I was so happy with it in comparison to my other Panasonic, which I love as well.
Lightweight In comparison to my other Panasonic CD player, this one was so light, I could have sworn it was hollow inside! It's the perfect CD player to carry, because it's so light.
Sleek n' Silver The color of a CD player doesn't matter much to me, as I end up covering them in stickers anyway, but this CD player was round with gorgeous curves. It was a shimmery silver, with a little window I can see the CD playing in.
Light up LCD When in use with the AC adaptor, the LCD display lights up in green. I just wish it did that on battery, but that may drain it too much. It's still a nice feature though.
The Negatives All the buttons are beveled and raised, so that when not on hold, and I bend over, I can easily touch the buttons and interrupt my CD playing. This can get annoying, and sometimes I don't want to put it on hold. This can get irritating sometimes, because I listen to my CDs on random and so I can't just go to the song I left off on. This CD player is capable of playing CDRs, meaning bootlegged CDs--copies, but you need anti-skip off, or else it skips on it's own, with no reason. My other Panasonic did this too, so I guess I can't complain about this either. But I am. When anti-skip is off, it's relatively sensitive to skipping too.
Would I recommend this CD player? And to who? Just your average Joe. It's a quality CD player for people who like sturdy, but not flamboyant materials. Instead of rushing out to get the hottest unnecessary product for hundreds of dollars, this is the basic CD player. It plays your CDs with several features, like Hold, Random, Memory/Recall (I still have no idea how to work this feature or what in the world it does!!!!!) 40-second Anti-Skip, a little viewing window, and repeat options, this would serve anyone.
