I work in a lab. This may not seem relevant to the functionality of my portable cd player, but it is. In a lab, everyone has a cd player, and yours must be able to drown out the others, or you will work in a world filled with a scary mix of opera and rap.

This cd player has been wonderful, both at work and in my car. The anti skip protection works well, even when I walk with it. I usually run it on an adapter, so I can't say much about battery life, but it's my bet that Panasonic's claims hold true.

The headphones that came with it aren't really sufficient, but nobody buys one of these for the headphones. I replaced them with a set of Kenwood Monitor headphones, and the sound is wonderful.

I have dropped this player, on both carpet and cement, and it has held up beautifully. I highly reccomend it.
