| jeffe's Full Review: Panasonic SL-S360 Personal CD Player |
I recently purchased an awesome Aiwa mini disc player, and I wouldn't rather have any other portable music system except maybe this cd player. While it is not the best on the market, it gets the job done for a reasonable price. Its forty second anti-shock protection is more than enough to prevent any skips. I have literally dropped this cd player onto a concrete floor by accident, and it hasn't suffered one bit.Since I bought my mini disc player/recorder, I haven't used my cd player in a while, but just the other day, I tested it after about six months without use, and it still runs smoothly.Panasonic has always been known as a high quality company that produces high quality products. I couldn't agree more. This cd player isn't one of those $200 models, but it sure sounds like one. I think it sounds better than my $250 mini disc player, and I checked by using the same headphones. The panasonic had a clearer sound, and I am frequently told how good the sound quality is on my mini disc player.Another thing that I love about this cd player is that it doesn't devour my batteries in less than 5 hours like my expensive mini disc does. The Panasonic gets at least ten hours, usually around twenty. I have heard though, that it can get up to forty hours from a single set of batteries. I am sure this is only under optimal conditions.I you want a great cd player for a great price, this one is for you. I you want to spend $100 more on another cd player, go ahead, but you won't get one $100 better. Top notch Panasonic, and keep up the good work.
