| xxbeepsxx's Full Review: Panasonic ShockWave SL-SW405 Personal CD Player |
This CD player is an affordable one with "a little bit of everything". It is built with side snaps providing more support plus making waterproof, allowing it to be played in all-weather conditions.
The Antishock, although not a hundred bagillion second likes the ones these days, works well, and keeps the skipping to a bare minimum, just as if you were to buy one those $600 one hundred bagillion-second skip CD players. What it comes down to, is 80-90 second Antishock works almost as well as the Panasonic's 10 second antishock.
The headphones of this Panasonic were designed incredibly well. The minute I put the headphones on, all noise disappeared around me and all I could hear was my music. It was like I was in an opera house! These headphones do a great job of blocking out external noises, letting you focus on your music. In my opinion, the headphones are the greatest feature of this Panasonic CD player.
The last positive attribute found in the CD player is its sharp appearance. Rang from yellow to blue to silver, this CD player one one that i would definitely want to be seen with! Its look gives the vibe of a space-age machine...it definitely attracts positive attention!
The only con for this Panasonic would be its short battery life. And with the price of batteries these days, we know how annoying buying batteries every week can be! However, battery life is only short when the Antishock is on. Thus, if you aren't running around or in a a car listening to your discman, you can turn the Antishock of, and the battery life grows multiplies. A definite buy if your looking for an all-around "good" CD player at a very affordable price.
