About Me: A biography in fifteen words is possible... unless you use them all to say so.

Reliable, bang for the buck.

Pros:Reliable, great sound quality for the price.
Cons:The opening mechanism is a bit flimsy.

Feature Positives:

- It comes with a car kit.

- It offers 25 ESP, which you can turn on or off. I've never had the player skip on me with the ESP on.

- It's programable (shuffle, repeat, etc.) , and it has 3 Dynamic Bass Boost settings, which are great quality.

- It has both a HOLD setting and a RESUME setting. The resume setting will continue to play where you left off if you ever stop the player.

Personal Usage Positives:

- It's just plain reliable. While i don't use it that often, i've had it for over a year, and it's still kicking

- The buttons are logically placed and are different sizes. It makes it easy and intuitive to find the button I need without having to physically look at the player.

- It handles somewhat scratched discs pretty well.

Negatives:

- The opening mechanism is a bit of a nuisance. Maybe it's just my model, but occasionally when i press the OPEN mechanism, the CD will "pop" out. It's also too easy for the player to accidentally open - from the car seat to the floor isn't that long of a drop, but when it did, the player popped open and the CD fell out.

- No backlit display.

Overall:

I've gotten used to the quirky opening mechanism. If you can deal with that, this is a great portable. I've owned two other portables and they both lasted for just under a year. This one has lasted me over a year and I don't see it breaking down any time soon. If it does, i'll happily buy another of the same model. For its price, it's small, designed fairly well, and has great sound output.
