I just recently received this stereo and it has been perfect so far. It is exactly what I have been looking for and it is stylish and small at the same time.
This system features a 1 disc CD player, 1 disc minidisc player, and a tuner. The tuner also features a timer and alarm so that you can fall asleep and wake up to your favorite tunes. It is very compact, the actual system minus the speakers is about 8 x 10 x 8. It is perfect for someone who doesn't have a lot of space. I live in a dorm room, so I don't like to take up too much space with my stereo. The speakers are a little smaller than the average stereo size, but the wires are a decent length, and you can place them on shelves or just in a separate place than the stereo to enhance the sound around the room.
The sound quality of this system. It has the power of all larger systems, if not more. The bass is incredible; with certain songs, it shakes the floor. (Of course, you can adjust that) The sound is clear and crisp, I haven't felt a shred of disappointment.
I love how easy this system makes it for you to record CDs or radio on to minidisc. You practically just have to press a button. Their are detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to do this, and trust me, it's simple. You don't have to hook up your portable player to anything and synchronize pressing record, you just set it up on one unit and press a button. The recorded tracks sound just as great as the original. It even lets you easily name tracks and title your minidiscs.
I also love how aesthetically pleasing the unit it. It is a frosty silver color with light wood speakers. I hate the old black boxes that are so typical for stereos. This system looks and is quite modern; it adds to my decor! You won't want to hide it in a closet like most systems!
If you already use minidiscs or even if you're a CD junkie interested in minidisc, this system is great! Trust me, no one uses cassettes anymore and if you do, switch to minidisc! You'll be so much happier!
