| daklown's Full Review: Panasonic PV-L759 VHS-C Analog Camcorder |
The panasonic line of cameras are among the best we've seen. We checked out a lot of cameras before deciding on the PV-L779D which is the upgrade to the 759. It has 300x Digital Zoom, an 8 meg chip for recording digital pictures, the color LCD screen, B&W viewfinder, EIS stabilizing feature, Strobe and Still picture features, and a lot more including titling, etc.
We've taken all sorts of pictures in many different light settings and recorded video in different lights as well. This camera does an excellent job regardless. It is easy to pick up and begin taking video or pictures and a little practice and playing gets all those special effects and titles, etc easy as well.
If you're looking for a video camera with loads of features, great picture taking capability and one that's easy to use - this is the one you want.
The DEW sensor is an aggravation but it saves the camera by preventing you from running it when DEW is sensed inside the circuits. This happens when you go from a cold environment (A/C) into the warmer moist air outside such as we have here on the gulf coast. It takes a while to clear so I advise getting the camera bag kit to keep your camera in while not in use. This prevents the DEW problem the majority of the time.
