| chidswife's Full Review: Kodak Advantix 1600 Auto APS Film Camera |
Never, since back in the days of the good ol' 110 Instamatics (Remember them) has photography been made so easy. Kodak has done it all with one simple to use camera. It's point and shoot, that's it! My husband and I own several cameras, some priced well into the hundred's of dollars range and the camera we use for vactions and special events is our lil' Kodak Advantix 1600 35mm Automatic. It's compact fits in your pocket or purse (The camera itself is only 2" x 4" and it weighs practically next to nothing.) It's really three cameras in one. In other words the camera can shoot in three different photo formats and it's all done with the flip of a switch. Normal "C" size (4"x6"), "H" size (4"x7") and "P" (Panoramic 4"x11"). As with all cameras the quality is only as good as the type of film and processing used. We use the Kodak Max film or the Hi-end Fuji films, 400 speed or better for all situations.
The camera takes incredible crystal clear-sharp pictures. When developing you get a special Index print which shows all your photographs like a professionl contact sheet(This is standard) so you can order reprints without negatives etc...
The camera has easy drop in loading and auto rewind and a digital LCD film counter...where has this camera been all my life!
