I wanted to try the new advantix cameras but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I chose the Kodak Advantix C400 AF. I worked at a company that sold it so I received a discount, I honestly didn't shop around a lot.

I'm really happy with my purchase. It is very lightweight, my 35mm camera is bulky so this one is great to take places. I love the 3 different size pictures. When you are on vacation this is a great feature. You can choose from 4 x 6, 4 x 7 & 4 x 11.

This camera has the flip up flash which reduces red eye. My pictures before ALWAYS had a red eye but with the Kodak Advantix C400 AF I haven't had red eye since.

When you flip up the flash the screen on the back lets you know how many pictures you have taken. All you have to do is push the top button to snap the picture. It automatically forwards and rewinds when needed.

This camera only takes APS film which is a little bit more expensive but well worth it since you get the 3 sizes. It's also nice because the negatives stay in the canister. When you want reprints just take the same cartridge back to your photo shop. No more messy negatives all over. They also make handy video sized cases that hold 12 APS cartridges and the preview print. The preview print that you receive with the pictures is a 4 x 7 sized print of thumbnail sized preview of your roll.

It does require 2 AAA batteries but they last quite awhile. I have barely had to change them and I'm a picture fanatic!

The quality of the pictures is good, always bright colors and clear images. There are only a couple downsides to this camera. There is no zoom which I don't care for. You also don't get the date stamp which I really like. For the amount of money the camera costs I can't complain though. If I was going to purchase again I might pay a little more for those features though. If you aren't interested in the date stamp then definately go with this camera.
