lettyrichgrz's Full Review: Kodak Advantix C400AF APS Film Camera
Looking for a good cheap camera or looking for a good camera cheap, this camera fits both bills. My wife and I had just had a bad experience with a Minolta point and shoot and were looking for a new camera. I have 35 MM stuck in my head as we have a Fuji point and shoot large that takes great pictures and I have both a Pentax MG and Nikon N-60 SLR that take high quality photos with the N-60 taking near professional quality. We were upset by the pictures from the Minolta and promptly returned it.
I had always toyed with the idea of trying an Advantix camera and had done some research on them, but all that was thrown away. We were on the way to visit relatives on Thanksgiving day and forgot our other cameras. We had a new baby and if I did not get pictures I would have been in the dog house. I stopped in at a CVS that was open and remembering the good things I heard about the Kodak cameras grabbed the top end they had available at the cost of $60.00. The price included a roll of film and batteries so I was set. I handed the camera to my wife and 10 minutes later as we arrived at our destination she had the film loaded, the batteries in place and the manual read. Long story short the pictures came out great. This has become my wife's default camera.
The Kodak Advantix is a fixed focus (no zoom) with auto focus and takes incredibly sharp photos. This camera is small enough to be tucked into the diaper bag so it is always ready when the baby is.
