Pros: Ideal for tourists, rugged, great pictures, small and light, carries in pocket safely.
Cons: "Mid-roll rewind" feature misleading - it rewinds partial rolls permanently, won't reload partial exposed rolls.
The Bottom Line: This is a small, top-quality camera that is easy to carry, retracts into protective case, excellent for travelers; has only 2x zoom, but I am very happy with auto-focus quality.

| jcwst1's Full Review: Nikon Nuvis S 2000 Film Camera |
Very well built, great pictures, carries around easily in pocket, size of cigarette pack. I think the case is plastic, not metal; however, it dropped from my belt onto a hard cement floor while I was going through customs into North Korea (not the time you want your camera to break!), but it wasn't damaged at all. If you are happy with APS film (I am), this is a dream camera. Only scary thing is that the film door might accidentally pop open if the open knob on the side were twisted, the film door should have a lock. Pictures and close-ups are sharp; some people have complained that the similar model "Nuvis S" takes fuzzy pictures, maybe they had fingers over the the auto-focus sensor on the front. [see similar opinion by islandalex on Nuvis S, "Great Easy to Use Travel Camera"; also Nikon's description page at http://www.nikon-image.com/eng/news_release/2000/nuvis2000_main.html]
