| Studley's Full Review: Canon Snappy LX II Date 35mm Film Camera |
We bought this camera about 9 months ago and have been very disappointed. In virtually all our indoor flash photos, the flash isn't bright enough to fully illuminate the subject, unless the subject is not more than about 6 feet away.
Thus, most indoor photos turn out with the background -- and usually the subject -- too dark.
The camera's technical specs claim that with 400 speed film (what we use) the flash range goes to 22 ft. But with our camera, it's more like 6 feet.
We're ready to toss this camera and get a new one. I know it's an inexpensive model, and you get what you pay for, but our friends with other brands of similarly priced cameras don't have this problem.
Also, the red-eye reduction feature doesn't work too well.
My advice: If you get one, immediately shoot a roll of film indoors with the flash. If the photos end up too dark, take it back and buy something better.
