Like many travel buffs I've always searched for the perfect travel camera - the best combination of size, price, features, convenience, and picture quality. The Leica Z2X appears to be the answer to my quest. I've owned quite a few compact and SLR cameras and I must say the pictures from this Leica are great by any standard short of the better (read expensive) prime lense/SLR combinations. The Z2X shots are even superior to the ones from my Yashica T4 and Epic Stylus and these models are usually held up as standards in point and shoot travel cameras. On a recent vacation to Europe, I shot twelve rolls of film and the exposures and focus where right-on 99 percent of the time. Using Fuji Superia 200, the color saturation, contrast and sharpness were excellent at all focal lengths and photographer friends of mine have all commented on the high quality of the pictures. Sure, the simple design and limited zoom range of the camera may leave a little to be desired but if pictures this good are the result then Leica must be doing something right. I love this camera!
