Pros: Superb on film performance!

Cons: Not a cheap camera to purchase.

I have owned many lenses from both the Nikon and Canon SLR systems (together with various SLRs of theirs, of course)over the years. The Leica Minilux has the best lens that I have ever used (SLR or not). Contrast, sharpness, color rendition and gradation are superb! The body is built like a tank. Titanium with a tad of leather make for a handsome appearance (if you care). Because of the large aperture lens (F2.4) and the relatively powerful flash unit, you get a flash range that is longer than almost all of its competitors. The battery (123A) lasts a long time. The LCD readout illuminates automatically in low light conditions.
