| ruggedtoast's Full Review: Olympus Stylus Epic 115 QD 35mm Film Camera |
I took this camera travelling with me and it withstood a year of hard punishment bouncing around in a backpack - being dropped on floors of cheap hotels - roasted in sunlight and hot taxis for over a year.
I probably took literally thousands of photos.
Generally the picture quality was very nice. Shots were well exposed. Red eye was not a significant problem and there was no noticeable vignetting in any of my photos.
I might say that a slightly higher than average number of shots were out of focus with this machine maybe, 1 to 3 per film on average.
Then two years after I bought it something dropped out of the clam shell and it stopped locking in place when open and closed. Then eventually the switch stopped working altogether. It was dead.
I knew about this problem when I bought it and it lasted for about as long as I expected though it still irked a bit when it broke as it was only this flimsy looking switch thing that was the problem.
