| blimbach's Full Review: Olympus Stylus Epic 115 QD 35mm Film Camera |
When travelling you want to have as little to carry as possible. I wanted a camera that was easy to use yet one that took good pictures. I chose this camera because it was very compact. It can be used in wet weather without harm, is easy to load, and does not use up its single battery quickly. As a matter of fact, we have only replaced it about once in three years or more.
Here are some of the features I like:
5 flash modes
Auto flash when needed
Red eye reducing flash that has multiple flashes
Flash override (off position)
Fill in flash
Night scene (object in front is lit along with the background at night)
Self timer (to allow you to be in the picture too)
Battery checker (3 volt Lithium)
Auto focus and focus lock so if the object you want is not in the middle you can lock it in focus and the move to the side.
Auto rewind
Built in lens cover and flash (no losing parts this way)
Zoom lens for telephoto and wide angle
We have taken this camera on many trips to Europe without one bit of trouble except when I tried to load it, did it incorrectly, and thought we had 36 pictures but only had an unexposed roll. I should have noted the error icon and funny sound when it was first loaded. I would buy this camera again in a minute. It was very reasonable for all the features it has.
The only other feature we wish it had is a printed date on each photo. But I wish it could go on the back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
