THis is my opinion.
OUT of the hundreds of point and shoots...there are..
the Olympus STYLUS is probably the best for the following
reasons:
1. it is INTELLIGENT. wont let you take a bad shot.
whether its TOO close, TOO far, not much light, or
slight movement..
2. IT IS FAST. OPEN it up, and within 1.5 seconds or so,
it is ready to shoot. not likethe other zoom olympuses..
they do take from 4 -12 seconds to warm up to be ready.
3. it is CHEAP ! less than USD 99 on the street.
4. IT is SMALL. you can put it in your purse at all times,
leave it in your car, home, or pants pocket (Front one
recommended)
5. give them away as gifts !
congratulations OLYMPUS.
IF you want CLASS, NAME< or BETTER, (SHARPER PIX)
you need to look seriously at costlier brands and ideas..
such as CONTAX with the G 45mm f2 T* LENS.
costs about 10 x more..and its about dimishing returns..
for the average person on the street, who will get to love
his olympus in a carefree, happy manner.
dont get me wrong, there are other great cameras of course.
but, VALUE, speed, convenience and final results for the masses?
the STYLUS is your answer.
