| wilkera1's Full Review: Olympus Stylus Epic DLX 35mm Film Camera |
The Olympus Stylus Epic is an inexpensive way to have a nice camera. It looks nice and doesn't make you look cheap.
The camera itself operates wonderfully. I have never had any problems with it. It has a good amount of features for it's size and it's not complicated to use. Therefore you don't have to sit with a manual for hours trying to figure out how it works.
The flash can be turned off easily for times when a flash is not allowed (museums). There is also a red eye reduction flash which works most of the time. Sometimes red eye can't be helped due to light angles. You can leave the flash on automatic so the camera will decide when a flash is necessary. If you are taking a picture of a mountain in the distance you can turn of the flash.
The display tells you your battery life and how many pictures you have taken.
The camera is light and easy to use. Zooming in and out is simple. Having dropped it several times it still works like new. I don't recommend dropping it regularly but if it happens it's built to last.
I recommend any Olympus camera, if you are thinking about this one you might consider one with more zoom.
