| mingusdog's Full Review: Olympus Stylus Zoom 70 QD 35mm Film Camera |
I love this camera. It is small, light-weight, and the body is very durable. The sliding cover is great protection against scratches and dirt as well as protecting against water damage if you get caught in the rain. The camera has three different flash features: fill-in, which is to add more light onto the subject when the main light source is behind them(otherwise the picture will be really dark); red-eye, which is when the flash gives a "test" flash before the actual picture is taken so that the subjects eyes can adjust to the shock of the light; and then there is the automatic flash which will go off automatically according to the camera's light meter. You can also turn the flash off anytime for situations such as weddings where they don't allow flashes. The camera is easy to load and unload, so there is no more quessing if the film is loaded correctly. Also, the film rewinds all the way into the cannister, so there is no more quessing if the roll has been used or not. This camera takes beautiful pictures even if you don't know how, but you can take all of the credit for them when you show them off. I have personnally given this camera to many people as gifts because i know how good it is, and Olympus is a wonderful company when it comes to honoring their warranties (which you should never have to use). All in all, this is my favorite point-and-shoot camera and i know many other people who feel the same way.
