| sunny2003's Full Review: Konica Minolta Maxxum Qtsi 35mm Film Camera |
I have owned this camera for three years. Before owning this camera I owned some point and shoot 35mm cameras with the motorized lenses. I wanted something that I could be more creative with and learn about aperture and shutter speed, and use different lenses. This is a great camera to learn how to take pictures . There is three levels of operation for this camera, Level 1 Full Automatic point and shoot, Level 11 Subject Program-take more control of the creative process by telling the camera what kind of pic to take. camera sets arp and shutter speed , you pick portrait, landscape, close up,sports, night portrait night scenes. Level 111 You take control of camera with three levels. -A mode you select
arp -s mode you selectshutter speed -m mode you select shutter and arp.
Only thing Im playing with is picture quality. My camera came with QUANTARAY lenses. 100mm-300mm 1:4.5-6.7. I think my pictures would be better if I found some Minolta lenses that you could use faster f stops. Does anyone who owns this camera know which lenses work the best? With most cameras you have to learn when to override the metering system. The spot metering system on this camera is great for this. Like when taking pictures of someone under a tree in full sun, you can go and take a reading from the shade hit spot button, walk back recompose picture and when you hit shutter button uses stored meter reading. To get most out of camera play around with different brands of film and film speeds.
