I am a photographer for my school newspaper and wanted a camera that would and could do everything. The Minolta HT si Plus is IT!! I use the camera for everything from taking pictures of sports with an automatic setting for "sports" to taking pictures of professors.
This camera has several settings which will automatically set your camera to the desired f-stops and shutter speeds, etc. The camera also has a Manual Focus button which lets YOU focus. This comes in extremely handy when you want more depth of field in your photos and are able to focus on only the foreground or background. I love the fact that it is light and yet durable.
The Minolta HTsi Plus is a perfect camera for someone who just wants take pictures of family and friends to a beginning photographer who is just starting out in the business.
One quick note, anyone buying this great camera might want to consider upgrading their lens from the standard lens to a 70-210mm or 70-300mm macro zoom-in lens for more zooming capabilities which will allow for nicer photos and more options.
