Since this camera arrived in my life, I believe most of my family and friends feel it has been welded to my eye socket. I take a LOT of pictures with it. I have to admit, it's a lot of fun!
The camera was easy to use right out of the box. I had no trouble inserting batteries, loading film, or attaching the lens. It was honestly easier than I thought it would be. In moments I was snapping a picture of my cat, and in a day, I had a beautiful, well-focused picture of her, with the correct coloring and terrific exposure. The automatic features on this camera are simply amazing. I rarely switch to 'manual', because the camera has a better eye for light than I do!
I bought this camera because I happened across it for the right price ($300) and had read some excellent reviews of it here on Epinions. I had been through several lesser cameras before, and always been disappointed.
No longer.
My one bit of advice for you, the prospective owner, is to try taking a couple of rolls of objects at rest before you attempt to capture something in motion. I learned that it took me a little while to understand the timing of the shutter, and I ended up taking pictures just *after* I would have wanted.
I have learned, however, and can now snap a great picture of a martial arts move with almost no effort.
If you want great photos in an extremely lightweight, easy-to-use camera, this is definitely the one.
