lowtech's Full Review: Konica Minolta Maxxum HTsi Plus Film Camera
I wanted to upgrade from an elderly Minolta Maxxum 5000i. I chose the HTsi Plus on the basis of features and price and I am delighted! Perhaps the most amazing difference is in the weight, which is a fraction of that of the older model. I am very pleased to be able to to use all of my favorite old Minolta lenses with the new body. The built-in flash is handy to have, as the 5000i did not offer this feature. Although I tend to prefer manual focus, the fast and accurate auto-focus on the HTsi is an interesting option. The array of features is easy to understand and to access and the instructions are quite clear. Most of my photography is of landscapes and outdoor action,as well as macro studies of wild flowers and this seems a fine camera for that purpose. I believe this camera would be an almost perfect choice for an amateur photographer, as well as someone with experience who enjoys good technology and fine optics!
