This is an excellent camera for an intermediate photographer, or for a beginner with the spare cash to spring for all the options. You can switch between fully manual, fully automatic, or any combination in between. It has a built in flash, light meter, and has a timer too. It is compatible with all of the nikkor lenses. On mine, i have a 30-80 zoom and it works great. I have been getting excellent quality pictures with minimal (or maximal) effort. The only thing that I did not like about it was that the shutter speed and f-stop are a little confusing to read at first. It takes a little getting used to, but after that I had no complaints related to the camera. The film loads in easily and automatically, and everything works smoothly from there on out.
