Cons: The M.S.R.P. is pricey but you can find this one at auction for way cheaper.
The Bottom Line: This is a great buy and nothing can beat it for the price. It holds its own under any price and pounds subwoofers to the max. Buy It!

I have this amplifier Pushing two Sony 12" Sub-Woofers and they pound. The sound and power that this "amp" creates is astonishing. It can put out up to 325 watts per channel, if you are running two, but why? Just run it at a higher sound quality and it sounds really loud as well as astonishingly clear. Set it for the 225 watt setting and this thing will blow your mind. Of course the brand name of Sony does help in deciding to purchase equipment but this one truly produces. Although some may look at the price tag and think this to be not that great of a bargain with the names like "Rockford Fosgate" out there but you can find this for an amazingly great deal on "eBay.com". Although the M.S.R.P. is around $460, I found mine for a mere $189.00 plus $15.00 S&H. And it was new, straight from the factory in the box. Look for sellers with feedback over 1000, they are the ones that sell dutch auction items at a really low price. Even at the larger price this one does commit to being powerful and rich in sound but at the lower price there is no amp that comes close to the sound and integrity of craftsmanship than this one. Run this amp with a pair of Sony "Xplod" 12"s and they pound hard for a complete Sony system that looks utterly amazing. I have a 200 watt Sony "Xplod" Head unit, two "Xplod" 6.5", two "Xplod" 6x9", Two "Xplod" 12", an "Xplod" 225x2 channel amplifier (one that is being reviewed), and a six disc "Xplod" changer. This system sounds and looks unbelievable. No matter what you buy or what your purpose, buy Sony "Xplod" and if you need great power and clarity, buy this amp, you wont soon regret it.
