I wanted to upgraded my stereo to have a CD player, but I also needed a cassette player. Therefore, I opted for a CD changer. After a lot of research, I settled on the Blaupunkt A08 10 disc changer.
I installed it myself and the only negative aspect was trying to interpret the cryptic installation instructions, which were mostly just a series of pictures. I didn't want to drill holes in my trunk, so I mounted the unit on a piece of 3/4 inch plywood and then attached the whole thing to the trunk floor using two large pieces of Velcro. Works like a charm.
I connected the changer to a new Blaupunkt Malibu cassette receiver with zero problems and it worked first time. The sound is wonderful. It is equal to or better than the big CD player in my home. I am now hearing things on my CDs that I never heard before.
Operation is smooth, quiet, and fast. I have not been able to make the unit skip even by driving over railroad tracks.
