| becker88's Full Review: JVC CHX-200 12-Disc CD Changer |
I decided to get a CD changer for quite a few reasons. I had a long trip coming up across country and I am sure everybody knows how hard it is to catch a radio station in the middle of nowhere. Also I was currently living in a state that does not exactly cater to my music tastes. So I decided to break my piggy bank and invest in a CD changer.
I bought this one out-of-box in Circuit City so it was a bit cheaper than a sealed item. The cost was also quite a bit lower than anything else they carried. The particular unit has a 12-disc option so 12 hours of music was a good choice for me.
I was a bit disappointed, though, that I had to pay an $80 installation fee but I think it was a good decision since the hassle would have been tremendous.
Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase. I hardly listen to the radio any more. The sound is clear and crisp; it takes very little time to change from one disc to the next. The little remote control is easy to use and is small so I don’t have to worry about it being obvious and attracting unwanted attention. Now that I now how great it is to have a CD changer I wish I had done it years ago. It surely beats plugging in your portable CD player into a cigarette lighter and listening to the thing skip at every bump.
I am real pleased with the unit and would definitely recommend it.
