I purchased this Sony CD Changer about four months ago. I expected to get the same high quality piece of equipment I received when I bought my RF changer years before. This has not been the case. The changer performs good in every category but one. It will simply not play recordable compact disks. When I discovered this, I immediately called and wrote Sony to address the issue. In both venues I was given the same pathetic answer. Apparently the changer is not "guaranteed" to play recordable disks. They are only supposed to play standard audio CD's. Then what is a recordable audio CD? I am displeased with Sony's lack of concern. Even the customer service representative I spoke with said they were getting a large number of complaints about this problem. Hello Sony! I think we are on to something. I have two other car changers and numerous home CD players that play the recordable disks perfectly. Why is it that Sony can't seem to get it right? For me, this problem is one I can not overlook. If you are in the market to listen to your own CD's then avoid this changer.
