| masturk's Full Review: JVC KD-SX850 Car CD Player |
This past Christmas I was the victim of car theft. Merry Christmas to you too. That's right, my windows broken and everything. CD player gone, CD's gone, Amp gone, cleaned me out!
Two months later I finally had the spare cash for the deductable on my insurance. Today I am listening to my JVC KD-SX850. The one it replaced was the 1997 equivalent of it. But nothing is equal about these two CD players. The JVC KD-SX840 has more power per channel (equaling 20w more than the previous) and the new function "BBE". There are three levels of BBE you can set and you can also turn it off if desired. The highest level of BBE gives you the clearest sound available through the unit by bringing out the "highs" without increasing the volume of them.
The new slim-line remote is an improvement as well. The bulky one from before was hard to put away while not using it, but the new one is about .25 inch thick so it can be stuffed in nearly any space in your automobile.
I am totally satisfied with the JVC KD-SX840 and would recommend anyone who wanted great sound with out competition prices.
