Pros: Sounds good with very high power amp
Cons: Need too much power to achieve good sound
The Bottom Line: Choose another 3-way model that doesn't require a $300 amp to run.

| ebbs306's Full Review: Pioneer TS-A6969 Coaxial Car Speaker |
I bought these speakers because they sounded very good in the store. However, when I had already installed them and could not bring them back, I realized that with a regular size amp, say 50x2 watts, they sound weak and distorted. They do sound very good with my MTX amp that runs at 100 watts RMS per channel. But to use that size amp for 6x9's, plus the price of the speakers, is way too much money. I had Sony 3-ways that sounded way better with my small amp, for a lot less money. I have had good luck with other Pioneer speakers and receivers as far as quality and value, but not the case this time.
