These are great 6.5" speakers, a huge improvement from the paper cone cost-cutting garbage that comes stock in most cars. The high end in these speakers is impressive, though I imagine a component set would've been a better choice for absolute sound quality as opposed to this coaxial setup. Coaxial are, however, the easiest to set up, which is a definite advantage to the car audio novice. I have these installed in the front door panels on my car, and even when I still had my stock head unit, these speakers were impressive. I'm also running Polk Audio for the rear speakers in my car, which are equally impressive. All told, Polk makes great speakers, and I definitely recommend them for anyone that really loves crystal clear sound.
