| UMMBABE's Full Review: Alpine CDA-7839 |
Alpine has really lived up to it's name by manufacturing this new model. With all the right features to boot, this deck plays high quality sound without the high cost. Besides the stylish faceplate Alpine threw in a remote to impress any car stereo buyer.
The CDA-7839 has all of your basic features that any 1999 manufactured stereo would possess. With it's mind blowing 40 watts per channel outputs there are two other features that help this deck stand out the most. The first is the BBE mode (Barcus Berry Electronics) which is designed to detect any distortion in your speakers. Thus, giving you crystal sound. The second feature is you can title up to 18 CD's. It's really cool to look down at your stereo while your in your car and see your favorite band's name displayed instead of a clock or a track number.
One flaw, however, is the instruction booklet states that when the deck is turned on the volume gradually rises to the volume once set prior to being turned off. The volume does gradually get louder but its really hard to tell. I expected a much slower rise in volume.
