| Burnem1's Full Review: JVC KD-LX1 Car CD Player |
After replacing my JVC KD-940 I was very leary about putting another one of their products into my car. After seeing the KD-LX1 however my mind was changed.
The KD-LX1 does not have a detachable face. It works on the age old prophecy that thieves can't steal what they can't see. All of the buttons on this cd player are hidden inside of the front panel. They motorize out with the ignition of the car. When turned off they motorize in and the whole display blacks out. When someone looks in they can't even see the cd player.
The display on the "El Kameleon" is incredible. You can select one of 3 different patterns to look at or you can turn it off if you ever get sick of it. It has a great combination of colors as well.
The LX1 is not just looks however. It has a high power output of 40x4 peak and has a set of rca preouts to add additional amps to power the system. The LX1 also has the ability to control a disc changer. One of the better features is that it has a built in DSP which controls how the sound comes out of your speakers. You can make it a jazz sound, rock, vocal, or leave it normal.
I highly recommend you try JVC's KD-LX1. They finally got something right for once.
