| rmaudio's Full Review: Kenwood KDC-7011 |
I would like to start by saying that Kenwood knows what they are doing when it comes to making head units. I own a KENWOOD 7011 for already a year or so and i can tell you that it has been great to me! I have never had any problems what's so ever and I have always enjoyed the quality of sound and features.
Before this Kenwood I had a Pioneer 6000 and it was a good receiver as well, but Kenwood seems to suit me better. Even though the Pioneer receiver lets the user set frequencies (built-in crossover) and has much more little things that let you play with the sound, Kenwood still sounds better to my ears.
The really great feature that I like about this receiver is the MASK face plate, because with the Pioneer I got sick of detaching the face plate every time I left my car. Kenwood not only hides the plate, but also offers a security code, which will prevent the use of the unit once the power has been shut off. So, a good thief would know that there is a Kenwood receiver hiding behind the plate, but he would also know that it has a code without which the unit is useless. DOUBLE ANTI-THEFT PROTECTION!
To sum up, KENWOOD 7011 is a very head unit and I would greatly recommend it to anyone with a small stereo system or a full blown competition system. It's GREAT!
