| hackersix16's Full Review: Pioneer CDS-P5000 Car CD Player |
In recent light of new car stereo components produced by Pioneer, the new CDS-P5000 looks to be a best seller. To all those cassette diehards who will not discard hearing the oldies on tape and buy new CDs, Pioneer has come up with a solution. This new CD player works with an acting receiver that is already installed giving tape listeners the luxury of also listening to CDs while in the car. So why is that important you ask, well its simple. By investing in a separate CD player and holding on to your tape deck, you cut costs because you eliminate the option of just retiring those old tapes and re-buying them on CD. For a modest investment of $260, as is priced on market wholesale, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Some might see the price as a reason not to buy it but in all actuality it is a savings in disguise. For most teens, like myself, I know about the car stereo arena and just how much it can set you back to get quality sound and graphics, but when all variables are taken into account this deal comes out as just that, a deal. speaking from experience, the CD deck in my car cost far more than $260, and as most youths will tell you, our common price range to get a replacement CD player runs near the thousands. Of course you have those who would rather buy a CD changer and cut costs there but they give up more freedoms than they bought. In simple truth a CD changer will not solve your problem cause then it will eliminate your ability to hear the CDs you want when you want. So with that all having been said I give Pioneer cudos for their marketing team who came up with this idea, and perhaps with growing numbers of tape diehards, so will they.
