| the_hamster's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P2000 Car CD Player |
i purchased this unit used from a co-worker without a manual for it, thus i am still trying to figure out the options on it!
it has MANY options for the price they are new, i have yet to figure out what they all do but i become more and more impressed with it every day.
the unit puts out 45watts max X 4 at 4 ohms, or around 22 watts RMS X 4, which is good power from a head unit, and the MOSFET is a bonus for sure! it also has one set of 2v preouts on the back, which are sadly not gold plated, but do the job anyway. it also has a plug in for pioneers BUS system, allows you to hook up an array of items directly to this deck.
the biggest drawback i have found for it is i don't like the way the buttons operate on it, i find them hard to push and cheap feeling, i like some of their older models buttom style better. the older ones are more spring loaded and softer to push.
i have had a couple of incidents where the unit has refused to suck in cd's for a few days straight then decide to work again, hasn't happened for awhile and seems to be isolated to this one particular machine, nonetheless worth mentioning.
