| winfrey123's Full Review: Pioneer DEH-P2000 Car CD Player |
I recently purchased a used car with a blown stereo system and no speakers. I've always had good luck with Pioneer audio equipment, so I decided on this little baby. I am nothing but pleased with my decision.
First off, if you don't like having to read an lengthy instruction manual to get the most out of your car stereo you might want to look elsewhere. I say might because the basic functions are easy to use and still make this a worthwhile purchase. Personally, I like to know everything my stereo can do, and it took me about a week to completely familiarize myself with all the features.
The basics. 45 watts x 4 channels(for the layman that means that 45 watts are going to each speaker in a 4 speaker setup, for a total output of 180w). 18 programmable radio stations which are very easy to set. Built in equalizer with 5 preset curves and one customizable. Amplifier and multi-cd changer pre-outs(this just means it's really easy to install amps and cd changers). It can also remember the names of up to 100 cds for quick identification of cds in a changer.
There are too many other options to go into all of them. Overall, this unit produces excellent sound quality(I have mine hooked up to 120w speakers) with a nice amount of bass even without an amp. If you want a good, reliable cd player with lots of features for under $200, then look no further.
